In the quiet, turbulent struggle of parting, there’s a lasting spirit of life. Laura Peterson's oil paintings offer a reflective exchange of invitation and release within this tension—serving as a door that honors connection that once was, and continually exists. With color and translucency she hopes to reveal the lingering remnants of what we loved and love so deeply.

Laura is a Chicago-based artist working in Pilsen. Informed by her practice as a behavioral health therapist, she creates work that explores the dynamic between vulnerability and discord.
